How a beauty salon owner starts her day?
– In a good beauty salon, except the professionalism, there should have a friendly atmosphere. A huge part of our customers come to relax after busy days. It is not a joke that a hairdresser is also a psychotherapist. My day in the beauty salon is all about a combination of professional services, friendly talks, laughter, and passion for success.
You are the beauty salon owner and your job is mainly to operate it. Do you serve customers sometimes?
As in any other business, it is necessary to take a close look at the working process and to make sure that everything is going on well. Don’t forget that after all that hairdressing is my passion, so it doesn’t bother me to serve my customers.
You are the owner of a well-known beauty salon in Bulgaria. Which are the business challenges that you face?
There is no bigger challenge than daring your personal responsibility. When I win, I know that it is because of me, and when I lose, also – me. I love that feeling. The hardest thing is being capable of fulfilling my personal expectations.
However, I can not forget to mention that it is a real challenge to provide quality job positions in such an economic environment as in my country.
What is the secret of your success?
I know too many people who want to start their own business but they quit because there are already famous brands in their sphere. Maybe this is the barrier between your dream and your business success. The secret is simple – you must believe that you are the best in what you are doing and that you will do your best to show it.
Your beauty salon is one of the first in Bulgaria who started using Reservation Studio for optimizing your business. What made you give up the old methods and start using the software?
My daily life is so dynamic that I just can’t afford to lose time. The software organizes my time business perfectly and saves me a lot of time.
As a business lady, every second is important to me.
Which is the most useful advice you can give to beauty salon workers or owners?
I don’t believe that there is a business that doesn’t learn something new every day.
My first golden rule is to follow all the details of the working process and not letting anyone else to rule my brand. It is the same as someone else to babysit your child. He can’t educate him the same way as you would, right?
My second golden rule is to be able to say “No”. For example, when a person has a negative outcome on your business. We live in such a dynamic time, we can’t afford to make risky attempts for years.
